जम्मू-कश्मीर से साल 2009 में सिविल सेवा परीक्षा टॉप करने वाले आईएएस अधिकारी शाह फ़ैसल ने कश्मीर में हिंसा के कारण हो रही हत्याओं के विरोध में अपने पद से इस्तीफ़ा देने का ऐलान किया है.
अपने ट्विटर अकाउंट के जरिए ये जानकारी साझा करते हुए उन्होंने लिखा, ''कश्मीर में बेरोक हत्याओं और केंद्र सरकार से किसी भी विश्वसनीय राजनीतिक पहल के अभाव में, मैंनेआईएएस पद से इस्तीफ़ा देने का फैसला किया है. कश्मीरियों की ज़िंदगी मायने रखती है.''
